It is exciting for us here in Caloundra, Australia, that through
the medium of
Internet we can share the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ with you.
The congregation at Caloundra pray that we can be a blessing to you through our web site. We seek only to help and at all times our purpose is to lead you and direct you to Jesus Christ who is our ever present help, able to meet our every need.
We are a congregation of the Church of God which traces its visible beginning to the arrival of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, as promised by Christ on the day of Pentecost
We are neither a part of any denomination, nor are we protestant. Our claim to citizenship in the
Kingdom of God as members of the Church rest solely on regeneration and being set apart through
new birth by the atoning and cleansing blood of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
We stand firmly against the false doctrines of "sin you must, sin
you will, pentecostalism, entire sanctification, original or Adamic
sin and a full salvation obtained in two works.
Any doctrine that takes away from the precious blood of Jesus to both fully pardon and fully cleanse in one work is a false doctrine. Hebrews 10:9-18; Romans 8:9
-----
Those who teach and preach that a second or more works is required to a full salvation are truly confused at best and teaching a false Roman Catholic doctrine that came out of the "bottomless pit".
To teach that one receives the Holy Spirit in a "second work" has no foundation in the Bible. Infact the apostle Paul said this in....
Romans 8:9 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
The apostle clearly taught that one could not be saved without the indwelling Spirit of God: the Holy Spirit.
Many sincere people are confused about when they receive the Holy Spirit as I once was. I had been taught that when you are saved the Holy Spirit comes upon and then in a second work when you are sanctified the Holy Spirit comes within.
I have heard variations of this, including the thought that when you a born-again you are
ready for Heaven although you have a sin nature, but that you need the subsequent baptism with the Holy Spirit in entire sanctification to live in the world.
We in the Church of God ought to know better than that. We teach and believe that Heaven is and always has been a holy and pure place were no sin of any kind can abide.
